Popular forward Anthony Colella is set to be offered a new contract after impressing Rabbitohs officials in his five first grade appearances before suffering season-ending cruciate ligament damage against Newcastle last Sunday.

No Braith Anasta, but it doesn't seem to matter for the Bulldogs. Once again Darrell Trindall will come into the halves, with Brent Sherwin moving to five-eighth. Coach Steve Folkes will be hoping `Tricky' has the same effect as last time to stood in for Anasta - the `Dogs won 48-22. Souths slipped back into their bad habits against Newcastle last weekend, conceding seven tries as Andrew Johns cut loose. The Rabbitohs are only two points out of the top eight despite winning only three games this season. But they have struggled to match the top sides this year. This is another chance for the Rabbitohs to prove they are legitimate contenders for the top eight, rather than pretenders.

Canberra will be trying to win their first game at the Sydney Football Stadium since 1995 when they take on South Sydney on Sunday.

Their last win there was against the Rabbitohs, 46-12, and they've lost 10 at the SFS since.

Souths boast their strongest bench of the year: clever utility back Owen Craigie, Australian Test second-rower Adam Muir, 198cm prop Paul McNicholas and former Sydney Origin and Bradford championship centre Shane Rigon.
